A new single, "And I Will Long For You"  has been added and should be out in a few days on CD Baby, and on other music sites a little later.  You can listen to an extended three-minute version here right now by clicking "Music / Listen" in the upper left corner.  It will then be the first track listed under, "And I Will Long For You".  The actual single is six minutes long.

The next album should be out within a week or two.  This took a little time to complete.  Will announce when it is up and ready.

This marks the fifth year in a row, having recently received notice from the Concert Division of the ASCAPLUS Panel, of an award for the next distribution year (2011-2012).

In case you haven't noticed, most of the earlier physical CD albums have been placed on sale on the CD Baby site for around half price during the month of September, as other albums are being planned for the future.  The sale will end at the end of September and will return to the regular retail price.

P.S.  Also, the monthly site hits report has been dropped since it is likely boring.  Monthly hits since the last report in June have generally followed the trend of being similar to, or greater than, the previous year during that month.   As usual, actual downloads and streaming are always increasing as more music web sites are added.

Apparently, there is some sort of legal restriction for others to give more than a 30 second listening sample.   These longer samples here at this site were converted to MP3 from the original recorded master disc.

Also, please remember, that everything on all albums were intended for the general music-listening public.  For professional musicians, it is just an additional honor that they would come here.

There was one special request.  The remaining tracks are mostly original with several musical arrangements from unplugged generations of civilized people. Several tracks are reasonably-good, slow dances such as, "Brass Spring" and the last track, "Piano Concerto in A Minor" by Edvard Grieg.

ABOUT STUDIO ELECTRA AND THE SYNTHONIC ORCHESTRA, BAND & CHOIR

After purchasing a weighted-action, 88-key synthesizer piano in 1999, the studio began taking serious form by 2002. Since then, there have been many improvements and updates. The goal was to have an entire orchestra, choir and/or band to play music with. This meant studying all available instruments and vocal ranges, their inherent musical language and their limitations, and sometimes stretching these limits under a humbled poetic license.

Before finishing the first album, it occurred to me that people who listen to it may get the impression that I was imitating or impersonating these instruments as real, and that they were being played by live musicians. They might thus conclude that they were being cheated or fooled. This is the reason that the name of the "band" was eventually called, The SYNTHonic (not Symphonic) Orchestra Band & Choir. The developing studio would later be called, studio ELECTRA (not ACOUSTICA).  Hopefully, the listener would understand where these albums stood on this issue up front. The purpose is to emulate...not imitate or impersonate.
